PUNCAK - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Wednesday, 28 August 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Beoga Post led by First Lieutenant Ari Surahman, conducted the “ROSITA” (Buy up Farming Products) belonging to residents from the Milawak Village, Beoga District, who sold the farming products to the HABEMA Soldiers.
The Commander of 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, has emphasized to the Soldiers that activities to help people’s difficulties in their assigned areas are the priority in the main tasks of securing the area. Therefore, on Wednesday morning, the Soldiers took advantage of their routine security duty by helping residents’ economy by selling their farming products.
During the Rosita program, the Soldiers could interact and communicate with the residents. The Soldiers used their own pocket money to buy and use the products for daily food. Responding to the Rosita program, the sellers were happy because the Soldiers bought their products. Mrs. Eli Sondegau, one of the sellers, was delighted with her revenue that morning and said, "Thank you, Commander 323. God bless."
Upon receiving the program report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, expressed his pride, saying, "The initiative of the 323 Task Forces to buy up the farming products belonging to residents from Milawak Village is a shining example of the TNI's effort to help the people's economy to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This positive response from the military leadership reassures the event's success and underscores its significant and positive impact on the community, fostering a sense of hope for the future.
