    Task Force 501 Delivers Free Medical Care, Bringing Joy to Ayata Village Residents

    PAPUA - The 501 Task Force of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, under the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, has once again showcased its commitment to community welfare. On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the Task Force held a "Free Health Treatment" program for residents of Ayata Village, Aifat Timur Tengah District, near the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.  

    This initiative focused on addressing one of the most essential needs access to healthcare. As part of their ongoing mission, Task Force 501 not only ensures security but also actively engages in humanitarian activities to improve the well-being of the local population.


    The 501 Medical Team offered a range of health services, including:  
    - General medical check-ups  
    -Treatment for minor illnesses
    -Vitamin distribution
    -Health education on cleanliness and healthy living habits  

    The program was well-received by the residents, who eagerly participated in the event held at the military post. One of the participants, Mama Ever Turnib, sought treatment for the flu and was given medicine and vitamins. Grateful for the care she received, she expressed her appreciation, saying, "Thank you, Commander 501. I feel better now. God bless."

     
    The success of the initiative did not go unnoticed. Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, Commander of the HABEMA Operational Command, praised the Task Force's efforts:  
    "The 501 Task Force’s free health treatment initiative demonstrates TNI’s commitment to assisting communities in need. Health is a fundamental part of our mission to support development and improve quality of life in the Papua region." 

    His acknowledgment reflects how the TNI’s humanitarian outreach strengthens the bond between the military and local communities, fostering a sense of unity and progress.

     
    The 501 Task Force’s dedication to both security and social well-being exemplifies TNI’s modern, integrative, and adaptive approach**. Initiatives like these create hope and positive change, especially in remote areas like Papua. As the people of Ayata Village return home with smiles on their faces, they carry not just better health, but also the reassurance that **the TNI stands with them—protecting, serving, and supporting their future.
