INTAN JAYA - The Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, which is conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Saturday, 3 August 2024, the 509 Task Forces Patrol Team visited the Bilogai Village, Sugapa District, and conducted Social Communication during the patrol.
On the orders of the 509 Task Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, then First Lieutenant Fardhana led the J2 Post Patrol Team to plan and prepare the patrol and social communication plans in the Bilogai Village. This time, the Soldiers used social communication to interact with the residents and discover the current situation inside the Village. The residents happily welcomed the Soldiers' presence by meeting face-to-face.

With a focus on security and community engagement, the Soldiers increasingly established harmonious communication with the residents. As part of this initiative, the Soldiers distributed stationery to the Bilogai children. The children's joy was palpable, evident in their broad smiles and laughter upon receiving the free stationery. Andre Sondegau, one of the children, expressed his gratitude by saying, "Praise God. Thank you, Om Tentara (Soldier) for the free stationery. God bless."
“The 509 Task Forces initiative to distribute free stationery in the Bilogai Village demonstrates the TNI's commitment to serving the community's basic necessities, particularly education. This support is a crucial part of the TNI's efforts to accelerate development in the Papua region, ” the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, underscored the commitment upon receiving the report.
